There are thousands of websites geared towards children of all ages to boost their learning. I have rounded up a few great websites for your children to learn from.
Reading and Writing
1. Story Online
This website is fantastic for children that love listening to stories. Story online features accomplished actors and actresses reading some of their favourite children's books. Each story comes with a free activity guide.
Founded in 2008, their mission is to offer traditional, meaningful storytelling to every child, parent, or teacher around the globe with access to the internet, for free.
3. Oxford Owl
After registering for a free account, your child will be able to access lots of books to challenge their reading based on their book level in school.
4. Phonics Play
Phonics play offers a variety of free games to make learning new sounds fun!
Maths
1. Mathletics
Children from reception up to Key Stage 4 can enjoy a 48 hour free trial with Mathletics.
2. Children's Maths Dictionary
This website is great for looking up mathematical terms and also has lots of free printable maths posters that you can hang up around the house.
3. Topmarks
Topmarks divide games into age categories: 3-5, 5-7, 7-11, and 11-14 years. Categories cover all relevant areas of the National Curriculum.
4. BBC Bitesize
This is a great webite for children to grasp learning concepts. Each written instruction for a new concept is accompanied by an interactive activity so children can practise what they have learnt at each stage.
